R.S.V.P. A.S.A.P.!

This section of the magazine requires a response. Please read it and let us hear from you as soon as possible!

Are you interested in SUMMER MISSIONS? A limited number of slots are open to alumni for Summer Missions 1998. Teams will be sent out in mid-May. Contact the Alumni Office at 495-6610 if you'd like to take part.

Can you DONATE A COMPUTER? Faculty members in all departments would like to replace older-model computers with anything above a 486 (Pentium processors especially welcome). Call the Alumni Office if you have a computer you'd like to donate.

We want to do more full-length FEATURE STORIES on alumni who are making a real difference in the world. Do you have names to suggest? If so, please call the Alumni Office.

ALUMNI BOARD OF DIRECTORS elections are less than a year away. Now is the time to decide if you'd like to run for office. If so, contact your class/school representative, or call the Alumni Office.

We'd like to get a PARENTS' ASSOCIATION off the ground. But...to do that, we need names and addresses of parents of alumni. Can you help us assemble a mailing list? We want to share useful information about ORU with parents, including special-event and sports schedules.

The Alumni Office would like to put together a reference list of ALUMNI MINISTRIES. If you have started a ministry since leaving ORU, would you please send us your name, your ministry's name, and a brief description of what you're doing through this ministry? Thank you.

The Alumni Association is in the process of planning a trip to Israel. Campus pastor Bill Shuler (85) will be heading up the group. The trip is scheduled for Oct. 16-25, 1998. If you are interested in going, contact the Alumni Office.

Remember...we'd like to hear from you on any or all of the above A.S.A.P.! Call 918-495-6610!

Did You Know?
ORU has more resident students (2,095) than ever before, resulting in a total enrollment of 5,008. (Dorm occupancy has gone up every year for the past three years.) The average SAT score of an incoming freshman is 1097 (up 51 points from last year's overall average).

'Whatever happened to...?'
People are asking about you, alumni of the 1960s and 1970s! They want to know where you are and what you're doing. In order to answer their questions, we need your help. We plan to focus on '60s and '70s alums in the Alumni News section of the spring issue of Excellence. To do that, however, we need your news! Please get it to us -- by phone (9180495-6610), fax (918-495-6650), e-mail (dbrown@oru.edu), or post (you know the address). (Of course, you could also deliver it in person; we'd love to see you!)
